employee-engagementProviding employee engagement questionnaire to your team of workers is one of the most efficient ways of making them feel important. At least, your employees will feel that you care about their opinions and feelings in their place of work. They will also think that you are the type of person that can give a listening ear to anything that concerns their welfare.

The performance of your workers at work is a major determinant of how strong your company will be. If your company is that type that has several competitors around, then you have more need to ensure that your employees are engaged. Employee engagement is a function of how you treat and respect them. It is also a function of how well you value their opinions.

It is important to frequently present questionnaires especially when you suspect some lapses. Instead of just scolding or issuing queries, a survey can be an easy but very effective way of improving the workforce. The survey helps in solving grievances and preventing further loopholes within the company. Ideas that may not have occurred to you since the company was established may be supplied by your staff when you give them surveys to fill.

Employee engagement questionnaire helps to increase the satisfaction of workers. Your workers have to be satisfied for your company to be healthy. According to other surveys, satisfied workers tend to deliver even more than their primary assignments. In fact, people satisfied with their job and company usually do not hesitate to work beyond normal business hours. The surveys also help to prevent unexpected actions such as undue resignation letters.

Questionnaires also help to improve morale, open-mindedness and confidence. Workers are able to approach their employers freely even when questionnaires are not issued because they feel that their employer is always concerned about their interests. When morale in improved, workers will increase their productivity and there will be fewer cases of lateness to work and absenteeism. Questionnaires help to reveal if any of the problems in the work place is a result of low morale among workers. Low morale has serious negative effects on the company so it is important to solve it as soon as it is discovered or suspected.

Employee questionnaire may be filled anonymously or not. Each of these methods has its own pros and cons. For instance, filling anonymously may allow the workers to bare their minds while filing the forms. This means that you will be able to get more results from the exercise. Filling the forms anonymously also helps to promote honesty. On the other hand, since their names are not written, some employees may bear false witnesses against their fellow colleagues.

If your company is large and the questions will be answered anonymously, then it is necessary to ensure that the questions are applicable to everyone that receives them. But if there is need to access a particular department, then a separate questionnaire should be prepared. A third party vendor is a great option for handling employee questionnaires.  This ensures that there will be an unbiased and accurate report provided to management .  Employees are often more likely to be honest when a survey is handled by a third party vendor.

People take their time when filling employee engagement questionnaire because they feel it is a positive step in solving most of their worries. As a result, it is important to address any issues (at least the most occurring ones) as soon as possible. Failure to do this can even cause greater dissatisfaction in the workplace.
