Global Strategic Management Solutions survey of Good - Bad Bosses

What’s the difference between a good boss and a bad one? Ask anyone working in a company, you’ll get a lot of different answers. Yet, there are striking similarities in people’s descriptions of good and bad bosses.
The best bosses are those who are trustworthy, empathic and who connect with us. They are emotionally intelligent. They make us feel calm, appreciated and inspired.
The worst bosses are distant, difficult and arrogant. They make us feel uneasy, at best, and resentful, at worst.
At the end of this post you’ll find a link to my survey to weigh in on the question, “What’s the difference between a good boss and a bad one?” I hope you’ll use the link to tell me what you think is important for managers who don’t want to be perceived as a jerk.
Share your comments in our survey, we look forward to your input.
